<Christophe Godin Profile>
Christophe Godin is the guitarist/vocalist of french metal pop band Gno. Born in 1968 in the lovely town of Annecy (France), he started playing the guitar at 13 as an autodidact. His main influences at the time were Angus Young, Eddie Van Halen, Allan Holdsworth, Yngwie Malmsteen and the band Kansas. With time, he became an in demand session player in Geneva's area where he still teaches. His style is a mix between metal destruction, humour and flashy virtuosity, with a touch of harmony, some of the chords he uses requiring sometime many fingers... After 4 years in metal quartet Temple, he led fusion jazz metal trio Morglbl during 5 years, and is now playing with Gabriel Vegh (bass/vocals) and Peter Puke (drums/vocals) in Gno, a "Pantera meets the Beatles" metal pop trio. He also plays with Pierrejean Gaucher in a jazz fusion guitar duo that covers rearranged versions of Frank Zappa's music as well original compositions of their own.
