1993 was a hallmark year for ZOOM, staring with a flurry of rack-mounted products. The 9120 multi-effects processor, for instance, boasted improvements in the user interface with a large LCD display and several edit knobs. In contrast with the high-end 9200, the 9120 had an affordable price tag typical of most ZOOM products, and sales very well. That year, they also came out with the 9050 as a half-rack successor to the 9030 with many functional and performance upgrades while still keeping the price down below the 9030. This, too, contributed to ZOOM reputation for High-Performance at an affordable price. 1993 was also the year in which ZOOM sped up the evolution of its compact devices, coming out with the 5050, a counterpart to the 5000 of the previous year, and the first upgrade to the 9002, labeled the "9002 Pro", which won fans the moment it was released.

But there was more to come. The year also saw the birth of a very unique product they considered part of their compact line. It was the 7010, a 9000-type compact multi-effect processor that housed a pop-up speaker. Capable of generating a multitude of effects and generating sound from its speaker, the 7010 grabbed headlines with its all-in-one, composite characteristics and proved to be one of the hits. In fact, it is considered a pioneer in the currently popular area of Modeling Guitar Amps.

Finally, 1993 year saw the debut of the 9150, a multi-effects processor with a real tube 12AX7A, and again helped to further expand the company's lineup and user base.
