The GFX-5 has a function which you can assign each effect module to foot pedals and turn on/off each effect. This function is called "Manual Mode". Foot pedals of GFX-5 can be just like on/off switch of stomp box. Please refer to "Manual Mode"(p.19) of the operation manual.

TURBO / EDGE / BOOSTER / ISOLATOR / COMP effects can amplify the input signal. When high-power guitar with active pickup is used with the above effects, unwanted distortion may occur depending on DRIVE module effect type, because of signal saturation.
| A: |
All drive effects such as overdrive, distortion, fuzz are produced by amplifying input signal. (not only ZOOM products) Therefore, a very little noise in guitar signal which comes from guitar pickup or guitar cable will be amplified together. To minimize noise level, please adjust ZNR parameter properly.
