Q:	I cannot edit a rhythm pattern.

A:	That rhythm pattern may be a "preset" pattern. Preset pattern is a library that is memorized in the ROM, which is not rewritable. If you want to edit this pattern, you should copy it to RAM area as a "user pattern". Please note that you can use preset pattern for song without copy if you don't need to edit it.

Q:	What will be possible when I use optional foot switch, FS-01.

A:	By your foot, without hand, FS-01 foot switch enables Start/Stop for song, Tap tempo, mute any track or sound, trigger the sound as like pad (for example bass drum).

Q:	I cannot operate anything, and indicator displays FULL.

A:

You may used up internal memory, therefore you cannot program/make any new data. You need to secure empty memory area, by eliminating unnecessary patterns or songs. The MRT-3 has no extendable memory, so that you have to record completed song to recorder or MTR when you finished the work. If FULL is still indicated even through songs are not so much programmed, each patterns may be too long. Please use short patterns repeatedly for the part that repeat same drum pattern and bass phrases. Appropriate length of the pattern should be less than 4 bars.

Q:	Can my original drum kit be programmed?

A:	Yes. You can use 50 factory preset drum kit, also you can program your original drum kit and save it up to 20 kinds.

Q:	Is it possible to store the data to any external memory media?

A:	MRT-3 does not have function as saving data to external media. You need to record as "audio sound" to MTR, DAT or Mini Disk when you finish the work. Please note that RT-323 (higher version) has such as function that you can save the data to Smart Media.

Q:	When recording Drum pattern in Real Time, timing of note cannot be recorded as desired.

A:	You cannot record exact nuance when the quantize is not maximum value. On the other hand, you can record exact 16th note when quantize is "16" even timing is not accurate.

Q:	When connecting MRT-3 with other MIDI equipment, they do not work.

A:	Please check if MIDI channel of the equipment is same as MRT-3's channel. In addition, please refer to MIDI implementation chart at the last page of operation manual.

Q:	Drum kit switching does not work.

A:	Do you have a preset pattern selected? The drum kits in the preset patterns cannot be changed. Select a user pattern.

Q:	The rhythm pattern does not start when I press the PLAY key.

A:	If the MRT-3 is set for synchronized operation with an external MIDI device, pressing the PLAY key will not set the unit to playback mode. To use the MRT-3 on its own, change the setting so that it operates on its internal clock. For details, see pages 44 - 45 of the Operation Manual.
