You cannot use Preset Pattern directly to make Song data. In order to save memories, please copy Preset Pattern you like to empty User Pattern. After that, you can use that pattern to make Song data.

The rhythm pattern you are going to edit may be Preset Pattern, that is library on ROM that is not re-write. After copying Preset Pattern to RAM area and making it to User Pattern, you will be able to edit and use in Song.

When you want to erase specific note, the pattern should be played in recording mode. Then press the pad (Snare, Tom etc.) on time you want to erase the sound, while pushing DELETE/ERASE key.

When you want to erase specific track, the pattern should be played in recording mode. Press the Track button (Drum A, Drum B or Bass) to erase, while pushing DELETE/ERASE key and continue holding until the pattern looped.

It is possible to start/stop song, input tap tempo, mute specific track or specific sound and trigger the sound like a pad, for example Bass Drum.

It means that you used up the memory and you are not able to create any new data. Please eliminate unnecessary songs or patterns and make certain memory area free. As RT-123 does not have external saving media, you have to record as "Sound" of the completed song to MTR etc.
When displayed "FULL" in spite of few songs, the bar length of each pattern may be too long. Song is created combining some patterns. However, in case you create the part repeating the same pattern of drum & bass, please use one pattern. Also, the suitable bar length is less than 4 bars per pattern.

RT-123 has no function to save the data to external media. It is necessary to record as "sound" of the completed data to MTR, DAT or MD, etc. In upper model RT-323, the data can be saved at Smart Media.

You cannot record exact nuance when the quantise is not maximum value. On the other hand, you can record exact 16th note when quantise is "16" even timing is not accurate.

The setup of quantise is not the optimum value. For example, when inputting 8th note, the setup of quantise should be "8". In case of 16th note, it should be "16".

Please check if MIDI channel of the equipment is same as RT-123's channel. In addition, please refer to MIDI implementation chart at the last page of operation manual.

When using RT-123 as MIDI sound module, drum kit is dependent on Program Change information, and it is different with the Kit chosen by RT-123 itself. In case you use RT-123 as MIDI sound module, please choose the Kit by sending Program Change information. And please refer to the table for correspondence of program change and kit in operation manual.
