Is the product defective when battery life is very short?
When using a product with battery, use of an alkaline battery is recommended. It lasts long about 3 times of a manganese battery, although it is dependent on the kind and model of battery. Moreover, in case you use the products in the room, we recommend you to use an optional or attached Zoom brand AC adapter. Please note that it is possible to cause of a noise or defectives if you use other brand's AC adaptor.
Is the product defective when a noise is available like "Boon" or "Uoon"?
When an AC adapter is used with other electric products, Hum Noise can be caused via power lines. Please avoid combined use of the socket with other equipments that has high power consumption, like lighting, heating, television, etc. Also, noise may be caused by degradation, disconnection or dirt of terminals, for both musical instruments and cables. Please check other equipments also.
Output level is too small when I use product with home audio equipment.
Please use "no resistor" type cable. There is a "with resistor" type conversion cables for RCA pin terminal to stereo phone jacks that is used for the connection with home audio equipments and studio line apparatus. When you use this type, an output signal may drop extremely.
When I use a guitar that has single coil pickup, a noise will come out.
A single coil pickup tends to be theoretically influenced of other electric equipment or lighting, and causes a noise. This is not a problem peculiar to our products. Please separate our products and/or shield cable from other equipments as far as possible. Moreover, as original Zoom Noise Reduction system "ZNR" permits you to obtain natural noise reduction by adjusting sensitivity.
Is it possible to use the Guitar/Bass effect processor connecting to other musical instruments without any problem? And, does it become the cause of defective?
The best sound, frequency response or effect character, may be obtained when connecting guitar/bass to guitar/bass effect processor. However, even if guitar/bass effect processor will be used with other musical instruments, VOCAL, etc., sufficient effect can be acquired. Please adjust the various parameters of a patch considering the sound character of the musical instrument you use. As the product does not break down because of the other musical instrument to connect, please use it in comfort. Moreover, when using with a microphone, please note that the preamplifier should be needed.
As output level of each programmed patch is uneven, I would like to keep them even.
Please adjust "Patch Level" parameter for each patch to keep the output level even. You can set up total patch level.
How do I use the bundled Cubase LE 4 / LE 5 application?
Cubase LE 4 / LE 5 is an OEM product supplied by Steinberg Media Technologies GmbH. Cubase LE 4 / LE 5 operation is not covered by ZOOM Corporation support. For information on use, refer to the PDF manual or to reference books available on the market.
How can I activate Cubase LE 4 / LE 5 software?
The product doesn’t recognize the SD card which comes with product.
When you are using the product which comes with micro SD card, it includes micro SD card and conversion adapter for standard SD card. As micro SD card may not be plugged into the conversion adapter, please use micro SD card after plugging into it.
