Can I record new sounds onto a recorded project?

Yes. By using Overdub function, you can record onto selected track as overdubbing, and when you make overdubbing onto a recorded project, the original project file is not overwritten, but overdubbed project is saved as a new file.

Is it possible to perform long-term recording that exceeds the maximum WAV file size (2 GB)?

Yes. When the 2 GB (*) file size is reached during recording, the H5 stores the file and then opens a new file for further recording. Recording will not be interrupted during this process. By joining the resulting files using waveform editing software on a computer, a seamless long-term recording can be created.

(*) Normally, the maximum size for a WAV file is set to 2 GB. Files larger than 2 GB may not be recognized correctly by media player software or other audio software on a computer.

Can I mix a file of a recorded project into stereo file?

Yes. By using Mixdown function, you can make a recorded project into a stereo WAV file with the settings at MIXER (volume and panning for each track).

What is the maximum sound pressure level for the built-in microphone?

The built-in microphone XYH-5 is rated for a maximum input sound pressure level of 140 dB.

Can I use SDXC memory cards?
